Monster Chess is a dark fantasy chess game for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis that turns the classic rules of chess into a gothic monster battle.

Two armies clash on animated boards: cyber angel monsters against demon and skeleton creatures, with dramatic attacks, deaths, tactical feedback, FM music, and arcade-style presentation.

The game keeps the real rules of chess, including legal movement, check, checkmate, stalemate, castling, en passant, and promotion, but wraps every match in a campaign structure with monsters, level themes, story outcomes, and cinematic audio.
